Account director - USA
As a result of exciting business growth, Amiculum is seeking an established account director to join our team, with a current opportunity within one of our publication and scientific communications accounts, offering excellent scope to shape future growth and further develop your career.
The role
In this key role, you will lead strategic planning and delivery of high-quality scientific communications through the publications program and wider opportunities. You’ll manage client relationships with confidence and ensure excellence at every stage of execution.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the commercial strategy for a large, high-profile publications program, with the role expanding into additional workstreams over time.
- Maintain a strong focus on identifying opportunities to grow and expand the account.
- Build and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with client teams and key external experts.
- Provide clear leadership, guidance, and support to the internal account team, fostering their growth and professional development.
- Contribute to business development by nurturing client relationships and driving organic account growth.
- Confidently oversee account financials and project budgets, taking full accountability for commercial performance and key KPIs.
What you’ll need
- A strong life sciences background with previous experience in a healthcare communications agency, ideally supporting publications accounts.
- Proven ability to lead account teams, providing clear strategic direction and ensuring high-quality delivery.
- Confidence in offering strategic counsel to clients and contributing to business development across existing and new accounts.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and a strategic mindset, with the confidence to contribute to product planning and innovative approaches.
- Experience mentoring junior team members, nurturing client relationships, and maintaining a high level of organization and composure under pressure.
