Editorial team lead
We are currently looking for an editorial team lead to join us in working on a pivotal rare diseases account at AMICULUM. This role offers the chance to deliver scientific, strategic and creative expertise across a range of medical communications projects, while collaborating closely with clients and internal teams. You'll play a key role in shaping and growing the account, mentoring colleagues and supporting impactful client events across Europe and in the US. The role
This role is ideal for an individual who combines scientific expertise with strategic insight, a passion for client engagement and a collaborative mindset. You’ll have the opportunity to work across diverse projects, making a tangible difference in the rare diseases landscape. The role can be based from any of our UK offices, with home-working flexibility available.
Key responsibilities
- Scientific leadership of a marketing workstream within a highly significant rare diseases account for AMICULUM, which also encompasses medical affairs and publications support
- Working closely with the account lead for the workstream, there is an opportunity to strengthen and grow this part of the account
- Providing clients with a high level of scientific, strategic and creative expertise on medical communications projects, including standalone events, symposia, slide sets, infographics and digital resources
- International travel to provide onsite support of client events (majority held in Europe)
- Establishing and building positive long-term relationships with client teams and medical experts
- Building collaborative partnerships across all internal teams
- Mentoring and training of editorial team members
- Supporting business development activities through relationship-building and the organic growth of accounts
What you’ll need
- A strong background working in the medical communications industry is a must
- Skills in communicating in an engaging and impactful way – both with clients and within the team
- A strategic mindset, with a desire to contribute to discussions with clients on brand plans and fresh approaches
- Strong team leadership and mentoring skills
- A calm and focused approach under pressure
- Excellent editorial review skills, with the ability to provide constructive and encouraging feedback to team members on their work
- An understanding of omnichannel strategies
- While rare diseases experience is appreciated, a passion for learning and delivering in this field is valued
