Experienced publications and medical education writer
Following the launch of Cogent in 2021, we’re looking for an experienced writer who is excited by the opportunity to play a role in shaping our agency, adding their experience and knowledge to a team driven to create, captivate and communicate in a rapidly changing healthcare communications landscape.
The right candidate will be eager to use both their passion for publications and creative flair. We are looking for someone who is keen to take the next step in their editorial career and play a key role working with the Cogent team to create impactful communications in partnership with our clients.
The role
This is a unique opportunity to join our thriving team and develop your career on this contemporary publications account within a nurturing environment where no career path is the same. Your role will involve building strong relationships with various stakeholders (clients and external experts), supporting strategic publication planning and execution, as well as enhanced content and medical education in a fast-paced area of oncology.
Key responsibilities
- Develop a trusted partnership with the clients, leading client communication as needed on both scientific content and strategic approach
- Create high-quality and impactful scientific content for various pharmaceutical stakeholders (primarily publications and medical education) according to scientific data and evidence, in line with the client’s strategy and project objectives
- Contribute to and execute a strategic publications plan
- Work effectively and professionally with client teams and external experts
- Actively participate in the idea generation needed to drive a contemporary publications account
What you’ll need
- A few years of relevant agency experience in medical communications
- A passion for publications and transforming complex scientific information into clear, accurate and engaging content. You will also have an interest in publications innovation to improve the impact and reach of data
- An aptitude for building relationships and trusted partnerships with clients
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, collaborating effectively with colleagues to ensure projects are delivered to the expected standard, timelines and budget
- The ability to see the bigger picture and recognize opportunities, approaching challenges with a solution-focused attitude
