Account director
Are you an accomplished account director who enjoys sharing your expertise with colleagues and shaping teams for success?
Cence drives the dissemination of medical evidence in partnership with publications and medical affairs clients, from strategic planning to enhanced digital publications content. We’re looking for an account director who can lead a team of our publications experts and play a key role in establishing new business plans.
The role
In this commercial leadership position you will use your experience to promote agency growth and nurture a positive team culture. Working in close partnership with our editorial leads, you will also help increase the impact of scientific material, develop and deliver strategic publication plans and have responsibitilty for the financial success of your account.
Key responsibilities
- Providing clients with a high level of strategic and commercial guidance on medical publications projects
- Establishing and building positive long-term relationships with client teams and medical experts to support organic account growth and business development activities
- Demonstrating leadership qualities by training and motivating team members
- Accountability for annual financial targets, long-term forecasting and resourcing
- Line-managing commercial team members
- Building collaborative partnerships across AMICULUM teams and supporting Cence commercial excellence
What you’ll need
- Significant experience working in client services at a healthcare communications agency, overseeing publications accounts and advising on strategic publications planning
- A proven track record that demonstrates your ability to organize accounts for long-term financial success
- The ability to lead and support an account team by sharing your expertise and building strong client relationships
- Experience driving business development for existing and new accounts
- Exceptional organizational skills and an aptitude for working on multiple projects that require initiative and strict deadline management
- A good academic background with a keen interest in the publications landscape
